I know, it's been almost an entire week. Told you updates would get spotty in November.
Sunday I vegged around, wrote some of my novel, did homework and then saw My Grandfather's Great War at the Gulbenkian. I believe at some point Jae and I watched Hellboy? Unless that was Saturday... no, I'm quite certain it was Sunday.
Wrote my review, stayed up until an obscene hour, and went to bed.
Monday I probably didn't roll out of bed until much later than planned. It was cheap dinner and a movie night at the Gulb, where the movie was Hellboy II and the dinner was curry and popems (??) I hate spicy food, but it is incredibly popular here and Jae loves Indian, so we went and I ate my rice and my bread and had some potatoes and mushrooms in ginger and... something else spicy sauce. There was alot of time until the movie, so we went back to my room, watched the Office and Doctor Who, and then back to the theater later for the movie. Another obscenely late night reading Chaucer and upping my word count.
Tuesday I slept in again, mostly by accident, and worked on fighting with everyone at Goucher. Everyone except Madison, who stumbled upon my blog and emailed me concerned about my negative experience and confusion while dealing with the registration process. Far from being offended (like he expected me to be) that he had read my blog, I was actually sort of surprised that he had found it, and even more surprised that he cared enough to email me about my concerns. It was highly appreciated.
Wednesday I had to go to a meeting with my theater professor, who told me that my work was very good, she was not worried about me at all, and that she really enjoyed reading my reviews from week to week. Then we talked about the various projects that are due for the rest of the term, and things got sorted out about deadlines and things like that. So that was nice to hear. Jae and I went to K-Bar for dinner, and had some awful burned pizza since they were out of ingredients for paninis. Then we went to a film screening of "Return to the batcave: the adventures of Adam and Burt" which was a mockumentary style film that told the story of the Batman television show (which, by the way, I love to bits.) Somewhere during the day, I created a NaNo playlist on my iTunes, and it consists of 267 songs I could put on shuffle and not ever want to skip.
Thursday morning was Chaucer class, for which I was plenty prepared :D after class, I wrote like crazy to try and catch up on my word count. I picked a topic for my next paper, and then when Jae got out of Pagan club, we went to Origins where she grabbed dinner and I watched her eat. Back at her room, we dyed hair again (and it looks brilliant!) and watched the end of the first season of Doctor Who, followed quickly by the beginning of the second season, considering I was going to go on strike and hide under Jae's bed if I wasn't assured that everything would some day be acceptable again. And indeed, some day it will be.
The long and short of it is that I accidentally warmed up to Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor, and when he VIOLENTLY turned into David Tennant, my visceral reaction was to shout at the screen "NO BRING HIM BACK!" Literally, I couldn't help shouting. And so we watched the Christmas episode that followed, because David Tennant was attractive (though I'm still stuck on Eccleston for now...) and there was a lot of Rose/Mickey love, which I always appreciate and want more of. I walked home at 1:30 and the sun was already coming up. The skyline just along the horizon was purpley pink and it was absolutely gorgeous. Even though I wasn't feeling well, I really loved my walk home.
I went to bed as soon as I got back to my room and slept in way later than I wanted to today. I watched the Office in the morning, which almost made me cry a-freaking-gain. I'm not saying a word, for the sake of my lovelies who will be going through everything they have missed with me when I get back to the Gooch, but holy crap that show, and John Krasinski's acting, they break my heart on a regular basis. I worked on my word count and then had to go over to help set up for the musical showcase, which I was sound technician for. The set up began at 4:30, and the show was at 7:30. It was actually a really good showcase. Two more shows on Sunday, and then the disney showcase at the beginning of December. Yay!
Tomorrow Jae and I are venturing to London, which we are both incredibly excited about. I will be even more excited when I get another paycheck from Screenspotlight!!!!
For now, that is all. <3
