ho hum
ahhh, a much awaited day off. even got isis to quit chewing noisily and obsessively on her ball so i could rest in peace for a bit longer this morning. life is leisurely today. running silly little errands like getting good tuna for the cat (who followed me home much to my delight a few weeks ago. awww frank, big furball of lovin, joy of my couch time) phone time with new love (how difficult, beginnings of relationships from opposite coasts. can't wait till october) and now the sinking into the cusions, settling into the alter-universe of the interenets while the sister and sister's friend are off on some advernture somewhere, their piles still cluttering my just-moved-into bedroom, but their chatter and constant presence finally absent if only for a few hours.
loving life in these instances when i have a moment to breathe, to look around me and really reflect on what surrounds me. to think of the mutual appreciation of a friend's hug this morning and to look forward to meeting up with another this evening. ahhhhh. day off of obligations to others, day on for obligations to myself. nice to feel my cup re-filling. hope it gets to the brim.
