ahhhhh. home. last night saw me as a monster, road crazed and almost drunken with the freedom to move my limbs in ways other than the minute twitchings necessary for steering and the occasional gas tank filling. the dying of my ipod battery leant to me the new knowledge of all the most recent bad hip-hop and same old same old oldies. i stumbled into my apartment to the joyous clamour of nickcerta and becca and . . . a few other people. i am sure that i looked a crazed as i felt. first i hugged and hugged, then collapsed into a chair then realized that i didn't want to be sitting, then i got some shit out of the car, then i sat down for a little while then realized that i didn't want to be sitting down, then i took a shower then i put on clean (!) clothes, then i thought maybe laying down would be a good idea. my body said ahhhhhhhh and i fell into a deepdeep sleep that lasted for 11 hours. yum.
now i am feeling a little more human. i unpacked (quite strange. i often leave unpacking for days after getting back from a trip, slowly taking things out of my bag as i need them) but now it's done. i think i might actually vaccuum my truck tomorrow. i have been eating like a just-released prisoner of war. guess the excessive consumption of caffiene in the past few days kept me from eating well. well, anyway. it feels good to be home, lounging in my own bed with doggy cuddles galore. hmmm, i think i'll go make some tea.
