~ Kurt sent me MGMT, which I'm excited to listen to because he described them as a mix between !!! and Ringside. He hasn't sent me much lately, so that makes it especially fun. I still wish I could get him out here for Pitchfork in July, but I think he'll be busy.
~ In the car on Sunday I heard "Shake It" by Metro Station and can't get it out of my head. It's more dance-y than I usually like, but something about it is catchy enough that I bought the single on iTunes and have played it numerous times since then.
~ Most people will argue that nothing can beat original Michael Jackson, but I just found this today and am enjoying it. No, Fall Out Boy wouldn't be my pick for a remake of "Beat It" either, but the video has great cameos by Donald Faison (Dr. Turk from "Scrubs") at 1:05 in, and Tony Hale (Buster from "Arrested Development") starting at 2:00 in.
