Podfic update
I finally got the request for hosting Debbiel's audio at http://audiofic.jinjurly.com/ site done this morning. It took me a bit longer than I had planned because earlier last week I got some feedback on The Watcher about an odd noise in the background of the second-half the story. I'm so glad people let me know this stuff, it's so helpful. And I am not being sarcastic at all there.
After a little investigating I think the noise is, ironically, the noise removal that I ran over the last half the story. It wasn't that noticeable when I'd listen in my media player. It made me sound a little tin-y but I thought that was the lesser of the two evils. Of course I have done this to everything I have recorded since then...sigh.
I spoke to tanpopo03 and had her check out the recording of- We Mortals Be, she didn't really notice anything but maybe she doesn't listen on an mp3 device. She was going to double check.
I threw it in my ipod though and yes, there is a definite squeally background sound, not horrible, but enough that I think I prefer the regular static sound better. It's funny that I can't hear it on my media player.
I try not to save the recording after I do the finalising stuff, makes it easier to fix screw ups like this LOL so I went back and redid some of the final steps and left off the noise removal and shipped it back out to mp3. Threw it in my ipod again and it sounds better, still has that hummy-static-sound like an old vinyl record but not as annoying as the squeally metallic talking in a tin can sound.
So that's where that stands. I now have to contact the other two and see if i can fix theirs.
Also I am going to post a link to sendspace because I am definitely losing my motherboard and want to have as many back-ups to some of these things as possible.
