Oooh the drama

Funny thing happened to me at work today. I had my customer arrested for fraud. 0_o;;

Doesn't happen often. But I had a woman come in to the store to buy two Rolex from me yesterday which came to a total of 5,580 quid. It was all a bit dodgy though because she made her mind up without me needing to probe her with my magical selling powers too much and she didn't even ask for a possible discount. So of course as i was running th transaction through i phoned the bank to get a security check and a new authorisation number, this went through straight away too so she could have taken the good and gone there and then. But after chatting to my boss we decided we wanted further ID with proof of address, she didn't have any so went home to get it.

About two hours later we get a call from the bank telling us that in fact she was using a fraudulant card we naturally then thought we'd seen the last of her and were glad we had been that little extra cautious.

Not long before closing we had another phone call from the customer telling us she'd been caught up but was going to come in the following day with her ID to pick up the watches...
MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

So being the evil people we were, when she came in around lunchtime today we took her fake ID, her card and sat her down whilst my manager pretended to get the card authorised again (he was instead calling the police in) and I offered to make her some coffee and discussed giftwrapping each watch in pretty colours to keep her from getting too nervous and bolting... She soon got dragged away in handcuffs scowling nastily at me and I almost felt sorry for her even though she could have cost me my job. he rest of the day was spent giving my statement to an officer who could barely read his own handwriting. >_<;;

Ah well. At least my day was a little bit different to the average Tuesday.
