This band has brought me more then great music; friendship and strength when I feel like there’s nothing or no one to keep me going...
Good, high-res pictures, and video's under cut.

July 27, 2006. Here I am. Sitting there with a girl looking at me, about my age, long blonde hair, and her twin sister. We had a good 6 hours to waste before we get into HMV so I strike up a convocation. Turns out she’s from Livejournal.

It’s amazing to think that was me 6 months ago. Sitting there with what was a total stranger and now one of my best friends - that girl I talk to every day. That girl I’m talking to right now. Her name is Stephanie. She’s also known as Supafan.

This band has brought me more then great music; friendship and strength when I feel like there’s nothing or no one to keep me going. In many ways me and my friends can see ourselves in these boys. I would most likely be the JWalk of the group, Sa would Ryan, Mei would be Spencer, and Em would be Bden.

Me and Sa the night before at like 11. So tired.

My father was an abusive father, an anorexic, and an alcoholic. My childhood memories imprint me crying in my bed after my father tells me to shut the fuck up, that’s I’m ugly, trash, stupid, and he loves our beagle more then me. The first time I heard “Time to Dance” I cried. I don’t know what the song is about, I don’t know what’s in Ryan’s head, but in the way I decoded it, it really told my story.

We arrived in Vancouver at 2:30 pm. There was about 12 people there. After one round of cheat I’m so incredibly bored so Mei and I headed down to the tour buses where we met two girls. We kind of lost track of time and Sa and Em started to worry, thinking we got molested or something. It was quite the hilarious convocation though.

Girl1: What’s your name tag say? ‘I’m Mel-C? It’s my birthday’? OMG, are you from the Spice Girls?

Mei: No, It says Mei C.

Girl1: Ohh… HAPPY BRITHDAY!

Mei: Thanks.

Me: How long have you guys been here? Have you guys met anyone?

Girl2: We met Andrew and Gabe. Not anyone from Panic! Though.

Me: Sucky.

Girl1: There too busy fucking each other to come out.

Me: Actually, they’re in sound check - but it’s nice to see I’m not the only one to like to search d!ats.

Girl1: I’m just waiting for that Ryden porno.

[laughs]

On the way back to our spot in line we walked pass the back wall, on the other side in the sound check. We could hear the boys talking to each other, saying things like “Turn Ryan’s bass sound a little.”

I looked at Mei, “I wonder if they can hear us?”

“HELLO?!” she screamed, “RYAN; THIS IS YOUR CONSCIENCE. Woot.”

“EAT A HAMBURGER OR SOMETHING.” I added, laughing.

I realized then that I was standing on a piece of ice, and almost slipped. Fun.

We waited some more. And some more. Finally, at 5:30 she decides to show up.

Wearing a “You looked better on Myspace” shirt, her long blonde hair, and her little happy dance. I smile, “Nice to see you. What happened to meeting up at one?”

She rolls her eyes, “These two,” she points to her sister and her friend, Sara, “Wanted to wait a little.”

“She’s been doing that stupid happy dance all day.” Sara tells me. I laugh.

“Have you seen Carli?”

Oh yeah. Carli is a girl I met on patd 3 months ago, we were supposed to meet her too. But she was no where to be seen.

Stephanie and I.

Some guard comes out about 15 minutes later. I dunno who it was but it wasn’t Zach, Dan, or Jeff. Cause  I would have recognized them. Yes, that is slightly creepy that I know all of their names. ^_^;;

The M&G winners went off to one line - lucky bitches - and we along with the others stayed in another.

I feel the need to mention this. Because it really pissed me off. The girl in front of the M&G line up was bawling because she wouldn’t get EA because she was meeting the band. Like, wft, I don’t mean to be rude but… you won the fucking meet and greet. STFU. We would all love to switch places with you, selfish little girl. Sheesh.

I got myself a blue scarf, I spotted Carli 3 rows behind me, waved, and then the show began.

Cobra Starship was amazing. Great interaction with the crowd. Sang wonderfully. What can I say? I love Gabe.

(The lighting was really bad and thy were moving around a lot, so this is the only good picture I got. Sorry.)

Jack’s Mannequin. Very gusty for drinking during performing, Andrew’s insane, in a good way of course.

Now. Panic. This is what I had been waiting for. It was amazing. So much better then last time. People who said the crowd was insane that night lied to you. I was in the front row on Ryan’s side (we made eye contact! And wow, that sound very fangirly. w/e...) and I could literally sit down on the floor and not be trampled, the only issue was the girl beside me who called me an eleven year old who’s at her first concert - funny, seeing how I’m 14, turning 15 in a month, and I’ve got mistaken for a 17 year old once. As soon as I told her the shut up and stop elbowing me in the boob on purpose, even though I wasn’t even pushing her or anything and we were both up against the barricade so there really wasn’t any purpose in doing so, she stopped.

...and because I don't favouritize band members, even if the others are really far away, and the pics turn out shitty...  (Think I killed the zoom on these, Jon was litterally on the opposite side of the stage, I had to hoist myself off of the ground and balance on the baricade! You better enjoy.)

Panic needs to have some more band-audience interaction though; it was more of seeing a play then a concert. People need to realize that Panic’s only been touring for a little while, they only have one album out, they’ve only been around for a little, and they’re very young themselves. I’m going to say it was a horrible concert just because they never talked to us, even though that kind of thing is important, and cut them some slack. (Ack, I wrote slash instead of slack twice. XD)

We met up with Gabe, Nate, and Alex afterwards before heading home. Picture's of this is on Mei's camera so i don't have have them yet.

Thank you boys for all that you’ve done for me and all the others who look up to and admire you. Continue what you’re doing, I can’t wait for some new material.

NOTICE LIKE WHOA: All picture are taken by me. No, I didn't have a photography pass, I wish I did. If you are going to use these pics for graphics you must post the link here and credit me or else I will inform LJ and get your journal removed. This does include you Stephanie, I love you for letting me use your camera though, lol.
More picture's coming soon as Mei gets her shit together.
Please also note that when you save the pics, you'll get the high-res version. There's way to big to keep them as their real size.
and, also, my deviantART, http://mystif3d.deviantart.com/, has some picture from the concert on it, please comment there too!
