Had an interesting weekend. The heatwave literally drove Aaron and I out of town. Aaron got a coupon at work to the Renaissance fair in Hollister, so we decided to make a trip out of it. Since the place was a good two hours away, we rented a hotel room in Morgan Hill. Hey huskerduh, I thought of you there! You should have warned me how fucking DULL that ( Read more... )

I remember driving past that thing last year (it was at Casa de Fruta or someshit). Which hotel were you in? Was it by a McDonalds and a shit farm? That town is weak, but damned if Hollister isn't more ghetto.

Yeah, that's exactly where it was.. we always pass that fruit place when we drive back to LA.. we cut across the Pacheco Pass to get to the 5.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn off of Tennant. We ate at a Marie Callender's off Cochran and Sutter. And yes.. I do recall the essence of a shitfarm.

Yup, I stayed at that place the first 5 or 6 days I was in California, before our rental house was ready.

You're lucky you didn't stay at the hotel off of East Dunne; that's the one directly downwind of the biggest shitfarm in the area.

I live(d) at the foot of those hills if you keep driving east on Tenant. Pacheco pass is an oldtime friend of mine, woot.

I suppose I've been to worse areas.. there was lots of teen meat hanging around that place.. mostly near the two trailer-parks we whizzed passed..

You wanna talk about shitfarm, let's move on over to Gilroy. We stopped at the outlets on the way back. Jenn got herself the King Of The Hill figures at the Kay-B Toy Outlet. WOOOOOOOOOOOT!

I used to work at the Factory Brand Shoes outlet next to Erik's Deli... early morning shifts were hellishly garlic.

Or when you're driving up from LA late at night, that shit just hits you like a friggin' wall. That, and I'd wake up to it every morning while I was in high school, drive past the shit farm to got to P.E. at 6-fucking-30, and smell the fermentation process from the winery across the street.

And people ask why I burn incense so much in my apartment.

Gawd, that's rank. No wonder the houses are so damn cheap out there.

Not in Morgan Hill... we're hella expensive cuz all the formerly rich dot-com people moved there.

But Hollister, yeah that's ghetto. Gilroy too.
