Just when I thought my Dad might be making some headway, all major issues under control... His kidney stones that were diagnosed 2 weeks ago, are a lot more serious. Apparently they are so big that it has blocked the tube between the kidney and bladder and has shut down one of his kidney's and it is unsure if it will operate again once the blockage is removed. I think this sounds pretty serious, but well the doctors were willing to wait a few days to get x-rays and then set up surgery to remove the blockage, which they can not do by laser because it is so big. I am just waiting to hear that Dad is pregnant that is the only thing he hasn't hit as of late.
My mom was pretty upset when she first heard the news, and we only have her version which we have learned is not always exactly accurate. I think my parents are at the "what next" phase, they are sick of it. I keep trying to figure out how my dad's family doctor missed so many things for so long when he is a hypochondriac. It baffles me. So apparently the new plan is rid him of the kidney stones, then make sure the staff infection is gone, then see if we can fix the heart. All the while keeping his blood sugar down, or something like that.
My snow shoe outing went really good. I was amazed at how much cardio I had gotten back, my knee did well but I was in so much better shape than I thought I was. So I was pleased with that.
Work is still going really well. This week has been fast, not crazy, just busy fast. All is well.
I am taking a hat and mittens class now. I have one hat and one mitten. Hopefully after this weekend I will have both mittens.
So apparently my life is full of knitting and Dad's illnesses. So very exciting.
