It is sad that every time I updated I have to go back and see what I wrote the last time posted. And with each post I feel guilty that I don't post more often. I will admit I have been posting a bit more frequently over on a blog I started, for my knitting. Crazy how knitting has become such a huge part of my life. Last weekend I even went on a knitting retreat, hobby smobby I think I might be an addict. I can even wear some of the things I make, it really is quite crazy. If only I could find a way to knit and workout at the same time.

Speaking of working out, my lazy few month hiatus is over, they delivered the elliptical and weight machine yesterday, so I am officially back in the get in shape get off your ass mode. It is much needed I have gained weight, I am out of shape, my knee is not where it needs to be because of this, and the limp is slightly back. Hopefully I can train the elliptical (he needs a name, not sure why he is he, but it feels right) to stare me down when I am not dutifully keeping him company. I have no excuses we set the room up all nice, music, TV all the likes of a bored exerciser.

I had a little scare last month, with my Grandfather. I will admit he is to that age where if he went peacefully in the night it would not be a horrible thing. But he fell, took a ambulance ride to the hospital since he couldn't walk, stayed for a few weeks and now is in a Nursing home. This has all been really hard on my Grandmother, she feels guilty since she is still at home and very healthy, it is so emotionally hard on her and for all of us that see her pain. Ted and I took a quick trip out there to just be there for her and see my Grandfather since it had been quite a while since I was out there. I was prepared and it went really well. He has dementia, but I don't think it is Alzheimer's there is a debate but not sure it really matters at this point. They live in a small town and it has two Nursing homes, the one he is in is not the town favorite so Grandma has even more guilt and I think she does not enjoy visiting as much as if he was elsewhere. Also the small town thing of pride. Hopefully he will be moved soon to the other one, really who thinks to put themselves on a waiting list before you need it, and if you do think to do it that has to be such a hard realization that you are putting yourself on a waiting list of a Nursing home.
The new house is moving slow, now that the people who did most of the gutting have moved on it is hard to get anyone back for little things, like hey I need a dryer. I had my dad wire the 220 so I could get the new fancy smancy dryer to work. I would also like to have the tub working, currently the handles and water are not all hooked up. How often I will use it, that is a different matter all together, I mean can you knit in tub? Slowly we make progress.
I am also looking into buying a business, to saying good bye to the 9-5, saying good bye to having a boss. I would be ecstatic if it all comes through, we are working with the owner now but I am not holding my breathe. I don't really know if it is doable at this point in life but if we can make it work that would be awesome. I am sure it would be more hours than now, but it would be more my pace.
