YAY! Stephan has a tenative date for R&R Aug 30th though September 13. Which would be great because Averie turns 1 on the 8th of September. They will fly him to Dallas-Fort Worth and then a roundtrip ticket is $160 to fly into St. Louis. Better than a I thought it was going to be. He finally called yesterday but we only got to talk for 10

That's SO Exciting!! Stephan will be coming back for R&R around the same time Doug will be home!

Home for good? I wish Stephan just had 5 months left.

Doug will have been gone for a year at that point, save his R&R. Let's hope it's home for good!! I can't imagine having to go though this more than one time.

I wasn't sure how long he had been gone. What does he do? After a year Stephan better be home too!

Doug's been gone just over 6 months, he left 9/11/06. He's Staff Sgt and has been doing cargo planning stuff since he moved to the new base a few weeks ago. Before in Al Asad it was all planning the routes that the convoys take.

He just took the Platoon Sgt test, the only missed 2 questions- which is still awesome. He was thrilled.
