I have to apologize for two things! One, that this reply is so late (like you, no internet!). Two, I actually wanted to write you a Mello/Hal with Mello in a dress because I LOVE that pairing, but that idea kind of collapsed... so I'm sorry this story doesn't fic your request as much as I'd like *bows in apology* I still hope to write that story, but I'm SO RELIEVED that you liked this~ whew!

And, YES, I love loyal!Matt, but I like him with a bit of spine too... ;) I don't think Mello would be friends with someone who just went along with everything he did and didn't challenge him, right? So I'm delighted you liked him this way ^_^ As for Mello, I love the man, but he's tough to write XD I'm afraid I usually make him a bit too soft for his character, but... I feel like he changed a lot post-explosion, so perhaps it's ok~

YESYES, show-not-tell is definitely something I make sure I do, I'm so glad you noticed!! ♥ Detailed descriptions and metaphors are not my forte and require a lot of effort for me, so yaaaay that you liked that radio bit! I can't write sex else I'd write angst-sex fics too probably XD

Naw, thank you for writing this for me! ^_^ But, geez! What are you apologizing for?? This fic was just made of awesomesauce! :D As was, "And All That Could Have Been."

I actually stalked you read that a while ago, but under a different username. ^^; Haha, straight!Matt made me giggle like a twelve-year-old on a sugar high, but Matt/Mello is still my first love, so I was thrilled to have gotten an M/M. Much as I adore Mello/Hal and generally ship het, omg! Matt/Mello is, like, my absolute OTP. Or pretty close. So, don't worry about that. ^_^

Agreed on Mello; the guy is, like, impossible to write. D: I tried a Mello/Near for my recipient, but that pretty much went to hell. ^^; So, I settled for a Mello/Matt from Mello's pov. It was really hard to keep from switching to Matt pov, 'cause he's just... I don't know... more sane? Hence, easier to understand.

Yeah, description and figurative language don't come easily to me either, but you pulled them off so well, I couldn't even tell that they gave you trouble. :) Omg, that Mello/Hal sounds awesome! I could totally see her being all like: "'Kay, Mello, you want a piece of this? You gotta work for it! Gimme a strip tease... in a dress!" XDDDDDD

I started a Mello/Hal, too, where Hal was all: "What's this information worth to you?" And then Matt catches them and is all: "Dude, Congrats on finally losing your virginity!" But, yeah, I can't write sex either, so it was going along a more crack! direction. Hehe. ^^;

Haha, nah, you commented on AATCHB with your phishy username! I wouldn't have been cheeky enough to write this fic for you otherwise XD I loved writing straight!Matt, and I wish I made him a bit straighter in this fic *g* I agree with you about it being tempting to switch to Matt's POV though - I tried with objective narrative in this fic, but it's really more Matt's POV. I think my first DN fic was from Mello's POV, but it was utterly spastic. Gotta have another go at it sometime~

I am totally weak at the knees for Mello/Hal, oh oh! Which is why it kills me that I can't get their dynamics right in anything I write about them. I also had the idea to write a fic about Matt walking in on Mello/Hal, but I'd MUCH RATHER read yours! Please please please ninja me the link when you've written it! And if you need probing, then I can send you my (tiny) folder of Mello/Hal fanart 8D
