I get that one thesis reader has to be creative(/crit), and one has to be critical(/creative).
I get that once a thesis has been registered, it *has* to be COMPLETED within 2 years.
I get that tutorials have to be taken the last two summers of residence and are arranged by genre.
Here's what I don't get:
Can I sign up for tutorial and request I be fit in with whatever genre needs another student, or do I have to say definitely "I will work on poetry and only poetry" (or fiction and only fiction, etc)? Do they even offer nonfiction as a genre for tutorial?
How do you decide what you want to use for thesis out of all the work you've done for Hollins over the years?
Can you register for thesis before completing the two tutorials? What if you register the year you take the second tutorial?
Which professors line up as which? I know Lisa is both, Julie is crit, JD is crit, Chip is crit, but what about the others?
Do your thesis readers have to be professors you've taken before?
Sorry for all the Q's... just trying to be as prepared/planned as possible for the next few years.
