seriously...I want to punch a puppy.
So, I came across something extremely gross on facebook..I won't go into details though. But really, you two JUST started dating..and already your profiles AND facebook profiles are like friggin halmark cards of love for eachother. Makes me want to vomit...maybe that is my jaded/cynical self talking...but really.
After discussing this in depth with Lindz we discussed another dear couple, my ex and his girl. They've been datin for a while...and they both love Jesus. Obviously. But after seeing the previously mentioned sickening displays of intimacy I knew I had to look at what was up in the other couple's land. And seriously...this girl has gone through every way to type "i love you" into a wall post that it doesn't even sound like a phrase anymore. why do people do this?! EVERY TIME you post on your bf's wall you don't have to leave a huge essay glorifying him and your relationship...to me that just seems...I don't know. It makes it less special. It's just weird! We aren't in highschool anymore! We can't throw those words around ESPECIALLY ON FACEBOOK. Jesus would agree with me, im sure. Her wall posts on his wall remind me of the following old story from the Twighlight zone:
I beleive a man died..and he thought he went to heaven. Every night he played poker and won. He was always surrounded by beautiful women who worshipped him and would do anything for him. He was rich and got everything he ever wanted, and nothing went wrong for him. After a while he started to get bored, and he turned to another man asking why heaven was so easy. The other man said "this isn't heaven...this is hell."
hahahaha but really, I made the connection between that story and these disgusting displays of "love" I see all over friggin facebook. It's one thing to be in a relationship with someone and put it up there, but really. If you are writing EVERY SINGLE DAY how much you "looooveee" your guy, and all this other nonsense...that is just no good. Essentially glorifrying the one you claim to love is going to get boring after a while. But maybe im just too cynical for this crap.
