Seven (or eight) GoS Sim Challenge sims up for download!
So when the internet was being a pain in the arse last night, preventing me from writing and uploading my legacy, I worked on getting the previews for these guys taken and edited, as well as getting them packaged. We were having an epic thunderstorm, and so before I could get them posted and uploaded, the power went out and I lost the internet altogether.
In this post, I have the five (or six) sims I made for the March Sim Challenge at GoS, plus the two I made for May/June.
Why are there five (or six)? Because one of them is sort of a "Kids for Diversity" sim (though she wasn't intended to be). I've included the original sim, as well as a slightly edited 'adult version' of her. :P
GoS May & June Sim Challenge (TS2)
Prompt: Summer
I live in a small beach town on Lake Huron. And in the summer, people flock from my town from all over. They come into town as white as paper, and always leave with a lovely tan. Me? I'm still white. Because I've spent every nice day we've had so far inside making subs for the lucky people who got the day off.
Laura is named for one of my favourite customers to our sub-shop on the beach, a local. Though she looks more like the tourists who come in.

Prompt: Purple
Purple is the colour of royalty and nobility. And Julian King is the epitome of nobility. Coming from a long line of successful businessmen, he didn't really have to work for his money, yet is still expected to. He is tried of the gold diggers, and tired of the paperwork, and secretly wanted to be an old-fashioned, hands in the dirt farmer. But his father would have never allowed it.

GoS March Sim Challenge
Prompt: Spice
Juniper Bay is the granddaughter of a half-alien, and though she has alien eyes, she pretty much looks human. She lives in a cottage in the woods and is happiest when she is in the kitchen. Many of her friends describe her as eccentric with a streak of elegance. When she isn't cooking or hanging out with her best friend, Brissanni, she is dreaming about the tall, dark stranger who will one day come and sweep her off her feet.

Prompt: Lemon
Brissanni Citrisa is a half alien. She and Juniper have decided that they must related, perhaps cousins, or niece and aunt. Of course, they never will really know for sure, as the relationship lies in the sky. If Juniper is eccentric, Brissanni is even more so, with an added touch of bohemian. And be warned, she is very fiesty. Much like a lemon, she has a tendency to be bitter, and can hold grudges for a very long time. She likes to think she can fish, though she's a bit of a ditz and is rarely successful.

Prompt: Dusk
Xanthir is a vampire, and has been since early teenhood. As such, he only emerges from his coffin at, er, dusk. He has been a romance sim for the past century or so, but he's beginning to think about settling down one day - there is a certain red-headed partial alien across town who has really struck his fancy. Though He would have to somehow convince her to stop cooking with garlic, and to leave her cozy cottage in the woods to come and live in His castle. It ought to be easy, right? I mean, in a hundred years he has never unsuccessfully seduced a woman he set his sights on.
*You will have to turn him into a vampire yourself using the Sim Transformer.*

Lacey Milne is a budding artist who has been struggling to make it big for the past few years, and has yet to be successful. She lives in a small apartment in her sister and brother-in-law's attic where if she's not making art or thinking about her art, she's sleeping. She doesn't really want a boyfriend anytime soon, after recently having her heart broken by a certain vampire, she has decided that she has no use for men. They'll only distract her from what's important, anyways.

Kids for Diversity!
So for this prompt, I had first made a rather unoriginal chinese lady who probably didn't look chinese, but I liked to think she did. But then while I was procrastinating and not actually opening up the game to take preview pictures, I was working on decorating a house for another monthly challenge on one of the livejournal communities I follow when a song by Steven Curtis Chapman came on (I have my own music in the game). It was a song about what he was most looking forward to about going to heaven - getting to see his little girl again. A few years ago, his 5-year-old daughter was struck by the family SUV in the driveway, and died a few hours later. Maria Sue Chapman wasn't his birthdaughter, but one of three little girls he had adopted from China.
I knew then that I needed to make a Sim of Maria Sue Chapman for this prompt. For someone whose simself looks nothing like herself, and who pretty much fails at making sims to look like real people, I don't think I did too badly.
