I'm sorry, but how can an album be "pop," "country" and "contemporary folk/Americana?" God knows I loved "Raising Sand," but that's what you'd call an embarrassment of riches, and most of the other folk albums didn't get nearly the exposure.
A Monday morning question by Jenna, who listened to way too much NPR this weekend, and had her head filled by shows like "American Routes" and "World Cafe."
Confidential to Mista G: One of the shows I was listening to said something about "in studio guests Bela Fleck and the Flecktones" but for the life of me, I can't remember which show it was. My Friday and Sunday drives included "World Cafe," "Sounds Eclectic," "Homespun" (a local N. MI show, so unlikely), "American Routes," and "Acoustic Cafe." Also, I feel like a schmoe and a waste of Michigan because Fleck apparently played the triple concerto in Detroit early last month and I didn't even know about it. They are releasing a CD of the performance, though.
