I spent the weekend at my parents' house. My mom is doing so well! I mean, she's itchy, tired and irritable, and she's still carrying around a barf bag, but she sounds a million times happier and more hopeful and she's totally committed to doing her exercises and getting better. Rock! Once again, I want to thank everyone for the good vibes and well wishes.
So my busy TV-watching schedule officially launched last night. Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill had their premieres and lo, it was awesome. I finally got around to printing the fall schedule and highlighting the shows I plan to watch or at least try out. I think I'm taking the freedom allowed by having my receiver just a little too far. See, my receiver has a DVR capable of recording four shows at the same time (only two if they're HD, but four regular). Four shows! I may never have to make a Sophie's Choice style decision about what to watch again! Of course, I'll also never be able to keep up, but I imagine I'll start culling shows soon enough. Either that or the networks will do it for me. This comes at the perfect time, because the broadcast networks have decided they often hate fans of good TV, but especially on Mondays. All four spots on the DVR are taken up that night, with a minor breather at 10:00 PM.
So here's what I'll be watching and recording. I don't know when I'll be sleeping, doing chores or running errands (or- God forbid! Working out.)

And on the seventh day, she got caught up on all the crap she didn't watch earlier. (What- you didn't actually think I'd say "rested," did you?
About all of those maybes. I usually give new shows a try, but if they don't catch my attention after an episode or two, I don't watch them again. And it looks like this year I definitely will not be just watching shows I'm not into for lack of anything better to do.
It's a good thing I'm single. It's also a good thing I enjoy being single- because clearly, leaving the house again is no longer an option.
