I'm home
My internet is running super slow and I'm tired, so here's a quick rundown:
Thursday: Flight to Long Beach. Landing was horrible. It felt like the tire blew out. Apparently our pilot did not pay attention to that part of flight school. The Long Beach airport looks like a double wide trailer stuck in the middle of a cement field.
Friday: We got to Disneyland at 8 a.m. We became honorary citizens and had our pictures taken with Mickey Mouse. We were really lucky with lines and made it to all the big major rides by around 2 p.m. Had lunch then went and rode a bunch more rides. Had dinner and watched the amazing firework show.
Saturday: Slept in and got to the park about 11. We spent the whole day at California Adventure. I ate my first giant turkey leg. It was awesome. We saw all the shows at California Adventure and just took it easy.
Sunday: We used our early admission ticket for this day and got to the park at about 7. We went straight to Finding Nemo because that always had the longest line. Lasy stayed went back to the hotel as soon as we were done with that ride and stayed there for most of the day. Philip and I met fire_sister, which was short but fun :) We ended up going back to the hotel for a few hours Sunday afternoon and sleeping then went back to Downtown Disney and shopped. Went back to the park and rode 6 rides in a little over an hour before everything closed.
Monday: God awful early morning flight. I fell asleep before take off and didn't wake up until right before we landed. We came home to snow. It didn't look like it had stuck while we were driving home, but I still had snow on the roof of my house and on my car. I hadn't thought to turn the heater on in my house before we left and it was a whopping 52F inside when I got home. It was freezing!
Philip surprised me by taking me to Bambara for dinner. I was shocked and amazed. He even had them make special menus for me that said "Happy Birthday Jen" at the top. It was awesome.
I will have to catch up on the f-list and post pictures later. For now I am going to take a nap!
