Pearly Whites
Thanks for the well wishes on the dentist appointment, sopaltenbass! I hope yours went well today.
Mine was okay, I had one cavity filled and another one fitted for a crown. I already had a silver crown on the one tooth, so the dentist had to cut it off and then put all these molds in my mouth to make sure he can get a crown that fits better. It will be a white one, which I guess matters, even though it's the next to last tooth in the back of my mouth? They had to use some string or something to lift my gums away from the tooth so they can make sure the new crown seals properly. That hurt like crazy! On top of that my new crown has to be created by a lab and it takes 2 weeks and 2 days to come back. This means that I currently have a temporary crown on my tooth, which doesn't really fit and it keeps moving around. It hurts too, so I hate it. This is the first and probably the last time that I will ever say I can't wait to go back to the dentist on August 18 to get this fixed!
At least the dentist was nice. They have XM radio in the room I was in so they let me choose the station (I guess the other rooms have video monitors.. I feel a little shafted). Anyway, so I chose 90's pop which kept the dentist, the assistant, and me laughing quite a bit. It played all kinds of stuff from Snoop Dogg to Phil Collins, Brandy, Third Eye Blind, and more. It skipped around between genres a lot so it was funny. Especially when you add that to the fact the dentist is probably in his early 30's, I'm 25, and the assistant was 18. She had no idea what half the music was. If I get that room again I'll have to try something different.
After the dentist last night I went shopping for some b-day gifts and ended up finding the one Dishwalla CD I've been hunting for. That made me happy :)
