I hope everybody had a happy 4th of July! It was soo hot here! I have had a pretty fun weekend, so much so that I wish every weekend could be 3 days :)
Thursday - I had to take my dog to the vet. Turns out she had a foxtail sticker stuck in her paw which was causing the swelling and infection. They had to cut open her paw and take it out. The vet was worried, because he says he usually sedates the dogs to do this, but my dog is so old he was afraid if he sedated her she wouldn't recover. Luckily she was really calm and let him work on the paw with only a local anesthetic. She's pretty good at letting the vets work with her. I think it has something to do with all the accidents she's been in. She knows that when she's hurt the vet is there to help (in the long run). Or maybe she's just addicted to the pain pills they give.
After the vet Philip and I went to dinner and then to a club downtown to watch Last Comic Standing. Do any of you watch it? If so, Philip is a big fan (and friend) of Marcus. We went to watch the semi finals show and not surprisingly found out that Marcus made it to the semi finals. So it was basically a congratulations party. After the show aired Marcus performed for everybody that was there. It was fun. Everybody watch the next few weeks and decide whether or not you think he deserves to win. The big show is July 31 when everybody votes and the results show is sometime in August.. the 7th, if I remember right.
Friday - We pretty much just hung out all day. I did some chores at home and then we had dinner with his parents. After dinner we went to some of his friend's to watch fireworks. Pretty low key, which is fine. It was way hot, even after the sun set, so I'm glad I didn't have to go fight any crowds.
After the fireworks we went to Wal-Mart to get me a new wireless router. Mine hasn't been working at all so I couldn't even use my computer up in my computer room with the ethernet cable. I had to sit downstairs where the modem is and have my laptop plugged directly into the modem to use the internet. Not fun. So it was definitely time for a new one.
Saturday - Philip set up the router for me. We had a few technical issues so it took about 3 hours and half of that on the phone with tech support, but now it's working awesome and I can use the internet from any room in my house! Awesome! While he was working on that I got caught up on all my laundry. After we were done with that we headed over to another of his friend's houses for a BBQ. We played Guitar Hero and I sucked. Good times!
Along with all that Philip uploaded a crap load of cd's to my iTunes play list. I now have like 2300 songs or something. That a lot for me. I also finished all my cards for my July card swap. That's good. They're not due until the 3rd Friday, but now I don't have to worry about it.
