Howdy Y'all

Well as some of you may know, I just recently returned from a fab trip to Florida. My mum, sister, and I went to Orlando for 4 days and it was a lot of fun. Yes, we did the Disney thing. We stayed at the Disney All-Star Movie resort. Its one of Disney's budget hotels which means there wasnt much in the room, the walls were thin, and it was cheap. Coming from someone who is used to blocking out a lot of noise when she sleeps and from someone who has stayed in various sketchy hostels (Bob's Youth Hostel comes to mind) around the world, this environment was not foreign to me. The room was $79 per night, had a tv, bathroom and 2 beds and was ostentatiously (my favorite word) decorated with Disney propaganda. It was simple which was fine because we werent in our room much, only to sleep. My mum and sister said the neighbours were loud every night but I didnt hear them. My drawback was that there were only 2 soft pillows in the room and I got stuck with the hard pillow. Little does my sister know, I swapped her pillow on our last night. Sorry Jess, I just HAD to do it, its not like you were going to fall asleep anyway, why waste a perfectly good pillow on someone who wasnt going to sleep on it??
Disney's Animal Kingdom was great. We saw a ton of animals there including a few we have never heard of...
This picture is of an animal my sister named a Girrebra, because it looks like half Giraffe/ half Zebra. Too bad I only got a picture of its ass, but trust me, it looks like a Giraffe/Zebra mix.

Look everybody! Its a Girrebra!

The Animal Kindgom was great though, I highly suggest going if you're in the area. We also went to Epcot which was great. I bought some gummy things in the German section and new Burberry perfume in the England section.

We also went to Universal Studios which was fun, the Hulk rollercoaster was fabulous and the Jurrasic Park ride was great too. We ended our trip to Orlando by going to the Magic Kindgom that evening and had fun. We went on the Pirates of the Carribean which is my favorite ride because I love pirates. We also went on the Haunted Mansion which is always a good time.

What I want to know is what is everyone's fascination with turkey legs? They had turkey leg stands everywhere we went and people would just walk around eating turkey legs. One on hand, it looks barbaric to walk around chewing on a turkey leg and on the other hand, why turkey? Why not a slice of pizza? Or a ham sandwich? The world may never know.

And now I end my journal entry with the joke that will always be part of our trip to Orlando. My mum, sister and I went through the McDonald's drive through one morning because my sister NEEDED her coffee (oh those coffee adicts...), so she orders her coffee and asks for milk...

Jess: "Can I have milk in my coffee too?"

Guy at McD's: "We only have cream."

Jess: "Okay, do you have light cream?"

Guy at McD's: "Well, we have it in these little cups"

Apparnetly, when you're in Florida, if you want something light or fat free, just eat half of it, or in small portions. I wonder if they have turkey legs in those little cups.
Anyway, I must go to bed and dream of warmer weather. Till later!
