Just got an automated call from NOM.
They were conducting a survey. I'm curious what kind of tripe they would have spewed if I hadn't declared that marriage should NOT be defined as being between "ONE man and ONE woman" (their word emphasis). Before asking me to take the survey, they declared that it was about "one of the most important issues of our time" - I agree. It's an important issue. People deserve to be able to legally marry the person they love, and have equal benefits (taxes, visitation, adoption, healthcare, etc.) regardless of gender.
I've thought and thought, and I cannot think of how anyone could possibly feel that treating others equally and allowing people to enjoy happiness and love is a bad thing. NOM and their ilk are being selfish and inconsiderate and hateful. It's disgusting.
