OK, so I had a wonderful, hurricane-free day off today, and did I spend it writing. No, I took my kids bowling [we won't discuss the score, but we did have fun]. Still, I needed to write, so since returning home, I've tried and well, let's just say I'm stuck. I am having trouble transitioning from the current scene to the mall where the next scene takes place. Any ideas? I am so stuck! Just to be helpful, I'm including links to my other two chapters. Actually, this problem with chapter three sums up my problem with the whole novel... I have written the last three chapters, but I don't know how to get there yet.

~ ”No Rain” Blind Melon
The Willis family reunited the day before, and as she took morning shower, Natalie reveled in the happiness of having her children home again. Her calf and thigh muscles cramped and burned from her one attempt at the DVD she purchased. She grimaced as she bent over to shave her legs and decided that perhaps t would be beneficial to stick to walking until she was a bit more fit, and perhaps invest in a bottle of Nair.
After pulling on some comfortable knit clothing from her closet full of comfortable knit clothing, she joined her waking children in the living room. Tyler was slumped against the coffee table, his dark green eyes glued to the Disney channel. Natalie fought the urge to tossle his light brown curls because she didn’t want him to shrink away with protest. If only he were still little.
“Mommy!” Lizzie sprinted toward her and grabbed Natalie’s leg in a bear hug.
“Good morning, sweetie. What do you want for breakfast?”
“Tyler got me a bowl of mini-wheats.” She smiled triumphantly, displaying her new front tooth.
“Thanks, Ty.” Natalie smiled as his eyes never averted from the screen. Like a moth to a flame she thought as she turned to Lizzie.
Her seven-year old’s chocolate eyes sparkled as she hugged her. “I missed you, sweetums.”
“I missed you too, Mommy.” Lizzie squeezed her once again. “So, what are we doing that’s fun today?”
“Well, Tyler has a birthday party at the mall cinema so I thought you and I would go to lunch with Grandma while he’s there.”
“Yea!” Natalie kissed her daughter’s silky honey-colored curls, rolling her eyes at her daughter’s enthusiastic response over lunch with Grandma.
Truthfully, Natalie was looking forward to lunch as well. It was rare for her to see her mother without Janet , and today Janet had a dentist appointment.
