(no subject)
So the new red dwarf.
I haven't gotten my hopes up for this new batch.
Grant naylor is still a split entity and series 7/8 seemed far too forced.
I've been pleasently suprised by the first episode. it's a little CGI heavy but this is understandable due to it being a 3 parter, not worth building a complete set/models and all.
Bad points first.
No kochanski - seems poorly written out
No holly as yet - seemingly written out but could return
Too short half hour episodes. of which 5-10 minutes is bloody adverts. hooray for dave (the channel it's premiered on)
the Good
It's shiny. and the good kindof shiny.
the CGI is very well done in places. ypu get a sense now of how vas the ship is.
red dwarf is now it's original size. not the remastered size. here's hoping they will go back and replace the long version in the dvd's as that's the only thing stopping me getting them o.O
and the ugly:
It's going to end up in coronation street. i mean damn. Craig charles WORKS in that soap.
In other news.
Repaired the broken axis on my CNC, refit will be tomorrow hopefully ad then i can get the limit switches done.
Ordered the new driver card yesterday. hoping that will be here next week or so
