A Christmas Carol, and what I SO need from it...
ALL I want for Christmas (BESIDES a 3-D printer) is a version of "The Christmas Carol" that gives the time, intensity, and TRUE weight to Marley's speech...
"I wear the chain I forged in life.... I made it, link by link, and yard by yard... your chain was as heavy as mine 7 years ago, and you have labored on it MIGHTILY since then... it is a PONDEROUS thing indeed...."
I get CHILLS just thinking about that, and hope SOMEONE, SOMEDAY will give this speech the true gravity and dignity it deserves instead of cutting out or blowing past it....It is the ESSENCE of the message of this tale.
UNTIL then, I will watch EVERY version ever made each year, and bawl my eyes out at the end... :)
