::WAVES:: HIIIII!!!!!!
Hey look everyone! I am still alive (just in case you were concerned). According to Live Journal, I have not posted in 7 weeks, so I was thinking it might be time. Want to know what is new? (Other then my snazzy new icon. Do you like it?)
It's been snowing here. A lot. We had a foot on the ground at one point over the holiday break. It melted and the next day we got six inches, just in time for the students to get back. Speaking of students, I am now convinced this town would be 10,000x better without them. Some are nice, but most are tools.
Since I am tired of students, we are looking for new jobs. Teaching jobs don't start getting posted until around March, so we won't know what is coming open for Scott to apply to. We have heard some rumors about jobs south of Seattle, which would be fantastic. We'll have to wait and see. However, I am not good at "wait and see" so I've already applied for a new job. It is at PNNL in Richland. The position is a technical editor job, which I think I would be great at. Keep your fingers crossed for me, because I think this job would be a good career move.
At the end of March my mom and I are going on vacation. Should be fun. We are kicking around a few ideas, but my mom REALLY wants to go to Arizona, so I think she is going to win (sorry Hana, I tried, but since she is paying, I bow to her authority on this matter). We were going to Virginia to see my brother and sister-in-law, but my brother told us not to come (long story) so now we are going to go somewhere else.
Scott's playing in the Men's Basketball band this year, so if you are in town on a game night and need someone to hang out with, look me up! This also means he will be going to the tournaments with the team in March, which is one of the reasons for the timing of my trip with my mom.
It is a three day weekend, for which I am eternally grateful!
