Fuck drugs. For those of you who know, I've never done drugs nor do I ever intend to in my life. My family has been destroyed because of it and now I've lost an ex boyfriend to it. We've been apart for quite some time, but that doesn't mean that I didn't care about his well being

I too randomly came across your LJ from ohnotheydidnt and just thought I'd put in my 2 cents as well. I'm sorry to hear about your loss; I too have steered clear of drugs, watching them almost destroy my dad and brother (who are both doing great now)--being 5 years old and watching your father carried away in an ambulance after a cocaine-related heart attack can have a certain affect on you. And then I read people's journals where they say they're thinking of getting into cocaine because it's "retro". Ugh. I'm heartened to see so many people posting in support of your lifestyle. This post reminded me of a song by the band Good Riddance:

Thank you for the reply. Sorry to hear about how drugs have affected your life as well. I just don't get the appeal when people die of this stuff everyday. More power to us, right?
