back at work
At the advice of my dear friends, I did indeed stay home one more day, using the rash as one of the reasons. *g* I wasn't yet comfortable wearing real clothes and the gingerbread pants, while fabulous, aren't really work appropriate. :o)
I did make it a full day at work, thanks to a nap in my car. Don't think I would have made it without the 40 winks!
N and I are spending a quiet evening watching many episodes of the Tudors. We're near the end of season 1 and am certain that despite their playing fast and loose with history, we will be waiting anxiously for season 2's appearance on DVD or CBC, whichever comes first.
I'm undecided about the gal who plays Anne Boleyn. I don't like the way they're coiffing her...her hair looks much too modern, especially when it is down and loose. They may be doing it to make her look more powerful or something, but it pulls me out of the story.
Still I'm enjoying it. It's quite a soap opera. Of course, Henry VIII's life was a soap opera...Showtime just made it really pretty.
