I'm moving!
Hello All,
Latest big news is that I have a new job: senior reporter on the Essex Evening Echo. Had the interview on Friday, got the job yesterday moening, and I am DELIGHTED. Woo-hoo! Also scared, nervous, anxious, sad, etc, etc, but we won't go into that. That's just natural.
I start on August 5, and I leave the Gazette on July 19. Oh my God, the end of an era. Three years in my first job in journalism; the job I quite literally fell into by mistake and ended up loving. How very, very bizarre. Spent the last 48 hours elated and excited. Looking forward to the challenge ahaead, moving to Southend on Sea which is, oh yes, by the SEA!!!!!
Also very very sad to be leaving behind everyone I know and love. Makes you realise how many people you care about and who care about you when it comes to leaving them all behind. Not for good of course, but it's going to be tough, I know that. I shall however get through it, and I'll be a stronger person for that.
For all of you reading who are living near me right now, I'm going to miss you all SOOOOO much. Ugh, I'm getting emotional now. Time to sign off.
