I stayed up late last night writing about some of the work I'm doing on my root chakra and the memories coming from that work. I'm not surprised that my dreams were affected. I gather regularly with a group of women to explore spirituality. It's through these gatherings that I've been examining the chakras. In last night's dreams, I was talking to them (they were all there) about the root chakra and how important it was. Then I'd catch on fire- oranges, yellows, and reds all extremely vivid. Then the dream would end and restart. In some cases, the fire was scary and painful and I'd cry, in others it wasn't painful at all. I'd bathe in the fire and my face would glow white.
I found this about dreaming of fire:
"Dreaming of fire could be both a negative dream as well as a positive dream. In both aspects, looking into the dream could bring on much self awareness. Dreaming of fire could be because of a transformation in life. The flames could be the burning of any barriers that are in the way. Pent up emotions, such as anger or rage could be the reason for dreaming of fire. Not being able to let it go and letting it build within is usually the dream of fire. Holding a grudge against something or someone could be the result." And, "A dream about fire could denote 1st and/or 2nd chakra issues." Ya think?
I find that the idea that it is a purifying fire resonates the most. It's like I'm burning away the chaff, and finding the power inside.
