Random thoughts....

I started MUM wednesday.
It was totally different than what i had expected... and in a couple of my classes we had to play those little "get to know each other" games, which are always awkward and make me a bit nervous.
I survived, though.
I think I'll like all of my classes minus sociology.
I'm taking: Sociology, American History, Art History, and... hmm.. what is my fourth class... uhh.. oh yeah.. english.

I was overwhelmed the first day, and felt like I was totally unprepared for college, but i got "the talk", you know, the talk about staying in school, and what are you going to do with your life if you do not go to school talk, from Mom, Dad, Anna, Lydia, Becky, Lisa, and Meggy. I'm thankful for that. but shh.. ;)

Heidi and I went to visit good ol' orchestra Wednesday. I'm still not quite sure how I feel about me not being a part of it this year. I'll definitely still go to all of the shows, because I'm cool like that. I'll be el fano (yeah totally made that up) numero uno! Holla!!

I want to go to some sort of music school someday...
yeah, that was random.. i know.

I received my Jason Mraz DVD in the mail, and I believe Jason Mraz is pure genius. It amazes me how he (or any truly talented musician) can write music AND lyrics, without sounding cheesy or cliche. The word cliche is a cliche. Big time.

I want to be able to write music and lyrics, darnit.
One time I thought I had made up a song on the guitar, and I was playing it like.. man this is catchy.. and then someone was like, "oh yeah! I like that song! "What I like about you"!"
and it totally did sound like what i like about you, haha.
Now I know how Vanilla Ice feels. What's his real name.. something van winkle, and no it's not Rip Vanwinkle, Anna.

Anyway, tonight I went to see Napoleon Dynamite. Man, that movie made me laugh so much. It seems like to me, everytime I go to the movies, there just happens to be a group of annoying junior high kids that come in late and sit right behind me. Why would anyone ever want to be a junior high teacher??? But anyway, back to the movie... it's seriously the funniest movie since office space. If you haven't seen it yet, go see it, and ask me to go with you!

When we came back from the movies tonight, Ryan and my old bestfriend from elementary, Danielle, were just hanging out here. It was so bizarre/exciting to see her. I haven't seen her in at least 2 summers, but that doesn't really count because we only talked for like 10 seconds then... so, before that.. it had been about 5 years.
WEIRD. I was glad to see her though, I really do not see/talk to ANYONE from elementary these days. We reminisced(i probably totally spelled that wrong, but I don't care) on the good ol' days of Amanda Elementary.. Go Bobcats! :) Actually, I don't think they're called the Bobcats anymore. Sad.

Megan Smith, I heart you. We need to have a jammy night and watch 13 Going on 30, for real.

Well, it's getting pretty late, and I have church in the morning.

sooo... goodnight lovelys :)
