My best friend almost got eaten by a shark today.
I just talked to her on the phone, and she told me the story.
She lives on Maui, teaching windsurfing, and she was out on the ocean when the wind died so she had to drop her sail. She was paddling for a while until the wind came back and when she got back up she saw a 15 foot tiger shark 20 feet in front of her and heading her way. She made it all the way back to the beach without having to drop sail again, but her knees were jelly the whole time.
