Hayden showed up at my door at about 8 last evening, holding a red rose on his right hand and an alive geranium on his left. He held his hands out to me and he said "I couldn't decide, so I brought both." I just started laughing so hard it took me a while to gain my composure. He was standing there looking at me like I was crazy. I chose the geranium, but took the rose anyway. What can I say? I'm a sucker for flowers.
Since the Force is getting weak in this one, I had already planned on going to this nice little restaurant hidden away from society. I, nor him, did not want to deal with the "oh my gods!" and the constant plea for autographs. I mean, it doesn't bother me when I'm making public appearances, but when I'm having a private moment, it does kind of interfere. Besides, it's not safe for Anakin to be spotted, I was going to get rampaged by a huge mob of hyper teenage girls wearing Padawan braids, and Amidala-like hairstyles.
He drove, while I directed him, and we arrived without a problem. Once inside the restaurant we were pretty much safe, the people there only oogled at us as if we weren't real, but none of them had the courage to walk up to us and molest us. Several times I heard the phrase "shower girl," which I tried to block. I concentrated on the menu. The waiter came over and tried really hard not to stare, although he did ask "Are you Jena Malone?" to which I responded "Yes, it's nice to meet you." I held my hand up to shake his, but I believe he was too dumbfounded to realize it (watch my ego grow) so I was left hanging in mid-air. Hayden started laughing at me, calling this "sweet revenge" for the flower episode. To lighten the mood and dismiss the waiter I ordered a steak. Hayden couldn't help me get rid of him however, and took his time, asking what everything came with, what seasoning it had, what condiments they used, and all the while the waiter was trying really hard not to look at me. It was flattering to a certain extent. Hayden was just doing it on purpose to make him stay there longer. So I heartily kicked him under the table and he ended up ordering the same thing I did.
He looked at me with that Christensen smirk, I swear Tove and him have the exact same look, although Hayden would never in a million years admit it.
The vibe between Hayden and I is so relaxed, as if we've been friends for ages. I'm really comfortable with him, and I expect he is with me also. We talked about silly things, like shoelaces, my acute crush on Ewan, fan stories, and elves. I have to admit it was my mistake to bring it up. I said the 4 magic words: Lord of the Rings, and his eyes lit up, he sat up straight, and yelled "ELVES!" I tried to make him realize we were in a public place where such outbursts were not recommended, which relaxed him a little, but that was pretty much the topic for the entire night. I know more about elves now than I do about myself.
All in all, it was a very fun night, it's nice to have Hayden as a release, he can really take you away from whatever you are in and just take your mind off things. All you have to do is say elf, elves, or something to that extent. It works like a charm.

Jodi- are you free today? I want to see HerbertMaybe I can come over and we can eat icecream and oogle at Ewanwatch Moulin Rouge.
