Hello Everyone! I havent written in a really long time so this is an oh so exciting update.
Im sure everyone knows about our new house. Its great, small but almost perfect. What some of you might not know is that we also got another dog. We now have a little golden chihuahua named Ghengis Khan. He likes to pee right in front of us and rub his tiny manhood all over the carpets. He is also the laziest fattest chihuahua Ive ever seen. We went to the humane society looking for a big dog to make me feel more secure and because I miss big dogs. But did we find one? No. We walked out with this pathetic scrawny little dog instead and totally transformed him. So thats our dog.
Then theres the wedding plans: We have chosen a place but are not sure if it is going to work out because of some construction that will be going on. Its the Center for Wooden Boats. This is a museum directly on lake union right near hooters. Its perfect with boats all around and an inside/outside area for the wedding and reception. Perfect for an intimate gathering. We just have to pray that it works out with the construction.
And then there is the matter of my dress. Oh my beautiful perfect dress. I went down to Oregon to see my family and stuff and while I was there I went dress shopping with my sister who was visiting from Kuwait. I walked into the bridal shop and saw THE ONE. It was just hanging there in all its glory. So I picked it up and looked at the size and tag, a little out of my budget but gorgeous. So I grabbed a few others that were in my price range a little more and went into the fitting room. Some were pretty, some were not. Now for those of you who dont know this, we were planning a fairly casual ceremony with me in red. I went in looking for an informal red dress....But MY dress was perfect. The cut and fit were made for me. The only problem was that I needed a bustle added and it was too long, being as Im ultra petite. I opted for the french bustle which bustles under instead of over itself. Its a beautiful dress. I have pictures but I left them with my mother in Oregon. So we ordered this dress even though it was a little more than Id planned on spending. I had to order it custom to my measurements so that it will be the right length and everything. We also got the slip to go under it so it will be perfect. And I got my shoes and jewelry YAY! I will be wearing my great grandmothers pearls and some great pearl earrings that thread through my ear instead of studs. We also got my bridesmaids jewelry and picked their pattern for their dresses. So I feel much better about everything now that I know what Im going to wear. Oh my gosh, its so pretty! I cant describe it too much because my fiance cant know hat it looks like but oh..... if I could tell you, I so would! Pictures dont do it justice.
OK I have to stop, I could talk about my dress so much. So while my sister was here visiting she had to go clean out a storage unit in Austin, TX and I went with her. We spent all last week doing silly girl things and cleaning. We went shopping and wedding planned and stuff a lot. Only got sloppy drunk one night. Thats dangerous when your significant other is so far away. My sister left for Kuwait again yesterday. I was pretty sad. It was good to have her home again.
