I'm actually making good progress on my SOC 1 paper. How strange is that? Hahaha...
Also considering that I've been on campus/away from the apartment from 1:30pm-ish to after 10pm, that's something. I guess today is a "good progress" kind of day.
With my classmates in Japanese, we were able to write up our skit in about 2-2.5 hours. It consists of Takeshi (a typical married salaryman), an unnamed housewife who happens to be Takeshi's next door neighbor, and Olga (a Dutch? German? woman that we made the wife of Bill Gates XD). We mention stocks, a helicopter, spilling coffee, and stressing out about life and work.
For Theatre class, analyzing Kara Juro's "The Virgin's Mask" was kind of hard. I'm still not sure what it's quite completely about, but at least I only have to do a small bit of analysis. About how the Japanese had to get out of the "victimized" mentality following World War II to get on with there lives. One of the main characters in the play is supposed to be a former Takarazuka player. And the song that serves as the main theme of the play is Mary Hopkins's "Those Were the Days." Quite a fit, one would think.
Anyhow, I have about 1.5 pages left to write for paper. I still need to quote at least two more sources. Time to go highlighted lines searching. ^^
