Went out to Enoshima with
xaevyn today. We both got the Enoshima-Kamakura Free Pass on the Odakyu line (1430 yen, versus the JR 1930ish yen pass). It took approximately 1 hour one way, and we got there in time for lunch.
There was LOTS of walking, up and down stairs. There were a few shrines, and lots of cats. We went to eat first, and then ended up going to the caves when we meant to go to the observatory. The caves were short and dank. ^^; Then we backtracked and went to the observatory, which was right by the place we had lunch. Tried going upstairs to the platform, but since it was outside, it was REALLY windy aside from being high up.
On the way back, we stopped at the shops and bought fresh tako-senbei (octopus senbei), which was delicious! I also was eying the ice cream, but it was too windy/cold for it. We were able to see the sun set on the way back across the walkway.
Plus, it was such a clear day, that we could see Mt. Fuji the whole day. =)
But being blown on by the sea wind all day kind of drains you, and so we slept on the way back to Shinjuku from Kitase-Enoshima station. We had dinner in Shinjuku Station's Lumine 2 building.
After that, I headed back to the apartment and just had a shower/bath. Now, I have to get to packing up so I can send off my suitcases to the airport for Saturday.
