Ups and Downs

Work today was tiring.. not sure if it was the laptops in particular, or the LOGIC servers, or just the bad internet connection today for the wireless. But if only they could have their office hours on the desktops, it would be so much more convenient. For everyone. But class scheduling sometimes conflict with that, so it's hit or miss.

And I hope this dull nausea goes away. It stuck with me the whole day. So not fun. Really sensitive to the smell of chocolate today. D=

There were two separate accidents or other on the 405, so I was stuck in traffic for a while (and yet still managed to get to work at a reasonable time after 9am). Meaning, I got to listen to the Inauguration news on the radio the whole time. And basically listened to everything EXCEPT for President Obama's speech. LOL. By the time I parked my car and walked to the library, it was already halfway through.
I think I perhaps teared up a couple times during the 8-9am hour, though. Especially when Aretha Franklin was singing. O_O At that point, I was on Wilshire Blvd, heading eastbound towards Westwood Blvd, in the left turn lane. I just looked in front of me, saw the rest of Wilshire Blvd, and had a moment where I just looked at it differently. I can't explain it any other way. But it felt pretty profound to me -- I don't experience that sensation too often. Is that what it means to be older and understand a little more of the world and what's going on around us?
