My Potential Travels
Today, i have applied with thirteen different companies for publishing jobs. i need a connection, or connections, or a lack of scruples. i want a job, a good one that I like and won't drive me to the upper limits of insanity. I went to a career fair in London on wednesday and was dismally reminded, though not surprised, that IT, computing and Maths people are the ones being headhunted. Not the humanities graduates. I often wish that my brain understood those things, and then subsequently liked them. alas, something has to come eventually.
and i'm still only 2,000 words into my 16,000 word dissertation...three weeks left, three weeks. i'm strangely not stressed, and maybe i should be. I don't really know where i'm going with it, and then the weekend rolls around and i don't want to do any of it. Nothing.
in other news, i've found cheap tickets to go to Rome in July: £64 return from birmingham. I think i'm headed there for a week! and home, ah home. i'm pretty sure i'll be in michigan around early august--currently looking at 8 august-18 august. margaritas anyone?
