And while this is all well and good, I think the Colts winning last year still sits higher with me on the best moment in football scale. Probably because I'm honestly wishing it could have been the Packers living up this moment as opposed to the Giants.
Nevertheless, it's an incredibly ecstatic sensation! I was so hopeful and optimistic yesterday because it was a GORGEOUS, sunny and cool day around here. Seemed like a fantastic omen. Mom and I bought a Giants cake, and had some during the game. We had people in the neighborhood honking car horns and I even heard fireworks (which, uh, are illegal in NJ, unless a group is granted special permission, like communities for special events such as July 4th). Also, being in the NY area, we are getting a slew of coverage, and WE GET TO SEE THE PARADE TOMORROW!! BOO-YA!
And the best part? Boston has to finally stop gloating. Finally. This is poetic justice for Spygate, oh yes. And, a new rivalry has begun featuring the Giants and the Patriots. Or at least...BRADY vs. THE BROTHERS MANNING.
Man, "The Golden Boy" Brady must be simpering like the 5 year old child he is. He's going to have to have voodoo dolls made for BOTH Manning brothers, I suppose. Despite being a Big Ten graduate, I have absolutely no love for that boy. None at all.
Now I need Manning jerseys. Like seriously. =/ Should be fairly easy to get a hold of a Giants jersey. But how is it that I don't have a Colts jersey of any kind? Something is definitely wrong with this picture.
