224: crabby crab

So my NEW new check card came in the mail, and--yes--it STILL ties to my Regular, not no-minimum-balance, checking account. I shot off an e-mail to customer service, but if they keep giving me crap, I'm going to just have to end up closing it anyway and ask about getting a damn ATM card at the physical bank.

I mean, I need to go to the bank ANYWAY to deposit my grandparents' birthday check, but I haven't been bothering because I haven't sent off a thank-you card yet. It's kind of inconvenient to even get to an ATM, between here and work, and I've not often been in the mood to go out just to do that.

I may be getting problems because maybe check cards can't be used with the online account, but they don't have a place to order an ATM card specifically, and I need one or the other--or a mad wad of cash on-hand--to be able to buy anything at Sam's Club.

Fuck you, Sam Walton, for only accepting American Express! I refuse to get another credit card just to shop at one place.

Charles and I went to City Lite Buffet [after a quick stopover so he could sign up for a fighting tourney on Sunday at CyberConXion], because I told him my dreams were being invaded by crabs, and he recommended we go there so I could fill up on crabs and he could NOT eat crabs. Ah, crabs, the habit-forming not-fish...

I had mentioned to him on the way there that there was this one buffet back home that had crabs as well, and my mother had seen this one couple just load up entirely on crabs. Funny thing is, we were seated at the end of one table butted up with another, and the couple that came in later they seated at the other end decided to do just that--load up on crabs. It wasn't really a competition, though. Since they neglected to stock the proper crabbing utensils, I basically took an hour to finish my first plate... first time I've ever eaten crabs with chopsticks, though.

What I ended up filling up on was other meats. Hey, I've eaten my can fruit all week, why the hell not fill up on something more expensive if I've paid the entry fee? I always take two sticks of chicken, but I had duck as well... or... it tasted like duck, but it was from a very small bird. [Many small birds died to make that platter.] ZOMG I ATE BABIES!!!!1!1ONE T_T

Well, duck is duck... I think. That's the thing--ducks are cute, but they taste good, too. It's a tasty dilemma :9

I made the mistake of having some sushi as well--the fish in those REALLY set off my allergy :/ in that I had one piece and my throat immediately started itching. That wasn't the annoying part, because that went away quickly. When it got in my lips, THAT shit lasts for a long time... still a bit irritated even now :p

Ah, crabs, the habit-forming not-fish... not allergic to THOSE, am I? :3 I could eat a bucket of them and have digested half of it before I got to the bottom... ♥

Then I fell asleep to Danger Mouse... food + comfy = SLEEPS, regardless of whether there is DM or Eddie Izzards. I'll have to watch it again at some point when I'm not tired from hibernation instincts :p
