I got my yearly review today before sneaking out of work [Latif didn't specifically say I could go... Chris said simply that I had to see him before I left, and I gave him my PDT as indication that I was done... not that there was much else to do by then]. Summary, I got a grade of 91.5, assumingly out of the standard 100, and "$.55"... also assumingly, a per-hour raise, not a one-time bonus [or that would suck].
It's funny, because after Marcel came in, he jokingly asked me to open the Electronics door--knowing full well I didn't have a key--and I cracked it open with an old credit card for a dead account [which I keep just for that purpose... in the highly unlikely event I would actually need it to survive]. Marcel immediately started calling me a criminal because I could pull that off, even though I didn't know myself that it would actually work... I was simply channeling Memento ;) though it certainly wouldn't have been good for Chris to have caught me doing that :p
[On a tangent, I think Memento is my new most favorite movie of all time, simply because it's deep, thought-provoking, and twisted all in one, without going overboard to do anything. I also still just find the memory loss storyline that much more dramatic than any other possible scenario.]
Not funny, we have to go in early every night from here out... 9p instead of 10:30. It's crap, because I stood around for twenty minutes after I got there because no batches had dropped yet. It's just karmatically poor to bask in that kind of environment--I like to prove my worth, especially considering it's not saying much to be better than the lot I currently work with [something also not-subtlely hinted at during my review]. Anyway, we went in an hour and a half early, got out late again... naturally.
Also, I registered
Jewel Quest... I'm stupid :p
