4523: Outlands
That subject line should be a Bloom County reference, maybe... I got nothin' like that, tho =p
Little things:
- Miss Priss is... uncomplicated. [At the Staff Appreciation luncheon, Sammo Hung praised someone he supervised by saying, "F is... special."] I say it this way because the complicated crap that crops up in doing the specific tasks others dump on us is just slightly above her head enough that, if graded on, she would consistently get a Charlie Brown D- every time. I've made a cheat sheet, sorted things in order of importance, printed out the "this is how to file things" sheet and tacked it up on the walls... ANYTHING I can think of to help her get at least a few more percent points. It's like, if presented with a numbered list [things to do in a specific order], she will mentally cut the list up into strips, put them in a hat, shake them around, and do whatever she pulls out... then [accidentally] DROP THE "DONE" THING BACK IN THE HAT.
But it's not a malicious incompetence--Ruok was consistently so disinterested in doing the work that she dumped it on me whenever she got the chance, then ran off to chat or whatever. Miss Priss tries. [insert slightly long joke of Mum's about her four ballet "houses" of students] Apparently one of the senior staff praised her for coming in on a Saturday to manage the catering and going above and beyond the call of duty in that respect [where most would leave a note, "Here's who you call if they're late, etc."], and she really does to what she can to help, in that grandmotherly way [I don't think she's actually a grandma yet--that sort of "could be but isn't quite"]. So I can't entirely say HOLY HELL DUMP HER ALREADY, 'cause I really don't want to take her place =p [as much as I'd prefer they just let me do the reports vs. constantly being interrupted with what I'm doing to answer her questions--especially the question I'd JUST ANSWERED that is the same thing she's asking again]

- Snowquester was overstated, FTR. I mean, all things considered, it WAS kinda windy and I would've rather slept in, but they had a thing, and I figured I'd better "do my part" and all 9_9 [though, to be honest, I was significantly more awake today than usual--goes to show how alertness ties directly into how "physical" my workload is!]
- The last bits of a comic always take the longest, I don't know how T_T I am SO ALMOST DONE
- Finally made an appointment for a check-up. No particular reason, just haven't for a while due to finances that the 1% think I have that pays for all these medical things that cost "a few dollars" >_<
