So this went down today:Co-worker: "Was that you I saw on Match.com?"
Me: "...no?"
He: "Really? She looks just like you, and she lives in Gaithersburg. Do you live in Gaithersburg?"
Me: "...yes?"
He: "What do you think about that?"
Me: "That's... creepy."
He: "Creepy?"
Me: "Yeah, that there's somebody out there maybe pretending to be me."
He: "Well, you know everyone has a duplicate out there somewhere."
Me: "Have you found yours?"
He: "No, but he's probably somewhere in Italy."

Forks on Match.com: Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to see if this doppleganger of mine really is trying to impersonate me or something! \=' [like hell I'm falling into the trap of signing up just to see, if it'd even let me w/o faking that I'm a dude]
Unrelatedly to the above but even more relatedly the subj.,
this cutie will be for sale tomorrow... when I have NO chance of getting it =( [I tried at the last announced sale and had no luck, there's THAT much competition!] Some of it is that she makes limited quantities of even her similar items--they're all hand-made and -painted, after all!--but most of it is connection speed and that merely putting an item in a cart does not "hold" it [or unscrupulous people would be able to hoard items indefinitely].
I kinda wish she would do something with
Patch Together or that and make even one limited edition design that multiple people could buy, but I get the impression she makes more money doing it the way she's doing it [$500 for one mass-produced thing significantly diminishing demand depending on the item, or upwards of $300 per most-complex item and demand is only increased]. But I don't know anything about business and am prolly just hoping for a way to get
MOAR CUTE THINGS w/o having to fight tooth and nail for them =/
