I imagine it's much the same like being in an earthquake... "WTF WHAT HAPPEN WHAT I DO D= *paralyzed*"

(contrarily... there ARE cats that enjoy this...? o_O)

3rd idea: Maybe the cat did run off, but it was a delay that was cut off from the loop.
