4296: Know Your Chicken

Today's experiment... nnngh =/




I wanted to try this recipe but didn't feel like going out to get ingredients to follow it to the letter, so I made some perhaps unfortunate substitutions... didn't think it be THAT different, but apparently it is =p Even the base chicken cooked from frozen for an hour tastes better [though it's primarily the batter that's weird, the chicken seems okay]. I have to wonder if there's a step I missed/didn't understand, because it really doesn't make sense how it turned out.

Cooking is, thankfully, a low-risk experiment--I wasn't so hungry that this is going to have me going to bed undernourished or anything--but I *do* regret not having spent my time a little better. [Sketch Bet seems to have snuck in a belated theme week, and it was too late for me to notice that and do a new pic for today, but at least that's also low-if-any-risk... I mean, what, am I going to lose viewers if I miss it? PFFFF]
