4234: Every Night My Teeth Are Falling Out
Yep, my fillings are definitely gone again. Not all of them, but enough that getting them done again will be expensive, unless my apparently CRAP dentist will redo them for free like that once.
[not counting on it w/ no dental insurance, but it's kinda obvious he'd done them before--what's he gonna say, that I got new filling-shaped cavities suspiciously close to where the fillings used to be?]

A thing I forgot but am grabbing before I forget again and it's even more of a pain to find [Twitter's main downside]: # My girlfriend is watching Saved by the Bell. I've never really seen it before, but as far as I can tell it's about a time-stopping warlock.

Anyway, receptionisting is awful. I'm not excited by the prospect of having to sub for Ruok and her TEN days of vacation [including weekends BUT STILL], particularly when she insists I should eat at the front desk and avoid having to take lunch--I can't stand eating in front of people when I'm supposed to "represent" someone else [and I'm generally trying to perform the way I would want any other receptionist to perform], and anything I could "stealth" eat by avoiding utensils and that is still pretty obvious, particularly if I have a mouthful when someone calls.
Ruok has been lecturing me on that whole "breaking out of your comfort zone" thing the Unemployment Seminar Guy went on about, how she used to be like me and all shy and she just wanted a data entry job so people would leave her alone but those jobs aren't always available and I have to OPEN UP and SMILE and HAVE A PERSONALITY 'cause that's what people wanna see and that will open me up to other jobs and she had this one interview guy who told her flat out he didn't like her because she had no PERSONALITY and that pissed her off so much because that guy had been in this group of them eating doughnuts in the office when they'd just opened and he had doughnut powder all over his face and he looked like an idiot and she wanted to tell him that but didn't and anyway I need to SMILE and say HI to people and ASK THEM HOW THEY'RE DOING and OPEN UP.

Truth is, I'm still on that fence between going back to school and not, that if I maybe went into Accounting, that'd be fine, 'cause I could generally interact only on an as-needed basis like I was at Caketown. Also, if receptioning and sales and all these other "OPEN UP" jobs are the alternative, PASS. If I have to do it to cover in a pinch, fine, but not as a primary job--I'd fucking go back to retail first [and almost gladly--at least there I had INSURANCE].
[[plus, being at a primarily engineering facility, I'm sure we actually get significantly less traffic, so receptioning now is much less awful than anywhere else, which doesn't help matters]]
Thomas and Anna[? still not 100% sure 'cause I'm stupid] dropped by again yesterday before going to pick up Mum, so one more hand of Dominion. Trader was in play, which meant LOTS of trashing for #VALUE in Silver--so much so that we depleted the deck. D= Depleting a Treasure card that's not a Kingdom card like Harem or Talisman is almost unheard of, so either I lost some Silvers or Thomas ruined everything again [trashed Duchy for +5 Silver].
Anyway, I was on that boat first, so I won ^o^ AAGH ABOUT TIME
...
I swear, if Ruok insists I sit with her up front again tomorrow, I'm gonna be annoyed, 'cause I'd already slowed way the fuck down w/ scanning from having to do individual page documents vs. whole binders at a time. At least I finally got permission to dump stuff using my better judgement--packing slips and that from 15+ years[!!!] ago [e.g.] aren't really useful to the engineers we have NOW who don't even know what half the stuff is that I'm scanning, after all =p
