I missed one D= No, you don't get two instead, I need think timeFive Fictional Facts Friday: Minzoku

Minzoku is half-lion, half-raccoon. I chose these species from my pre-Ophiuchus Zodiac sign [Traditional Leo, same as my mother's] and from my father instilling the importance of cleaning upon me [not cleanliness so much, since my hoarder mother made that an uphill battle]. C has dubbed the species "lycoon/licoon," but I'm generally vague about it.

Minzoku is my Author Avatar. I know some of you would use "fursona"* instead, but... eugh X/ Min's [and a few others'] appearances in certain SGP works are indication of "interference" with the story. I'll elucidate that when I feel like it.

Minzoku doesn't exist in any specific continuity. This is directly tied into being both an Author Avatar and shorthand for "here is where the Great Author in the Sky specifically interfered with the course of events for purposes of plot." [To be fair, I've also inserted unserious interference.]

Minzoku Bokumetsu [眠続墨滅] means Jen Aside. Whoops? XD

Another name for Minzoku is Lucienne Aimee Diehl. Yes, I have a really old, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT character with that name, but there's a reason for that. Maybe that'll be next week's fact. [If I ever draw her so there's a tag I can use...]
*The main problem is that "furry persona" is a little vague. The dictionary definition has it mean "a person," "a character in a work," "the narrator of a work [usually identified with the author but not always]," "a façade personality one wears that doesn't represent one's true self [two-face]", or "a person's perceived image." What exactly does that MEAN? "This is my furry character." Uh... no, Minzoku has a quite specific use beyond "just" a character who happens to have animal characteristics. As silly as the blue cat movie is, avatar is more appropriate.

Thursday saw Fight Night, a Microsoft-store-hosted fighting game event that kiken, metalfox, Tails, and Spanky wanted to attend. I went along for the having something to do, though after a while I finish seeing all the things [as much as I tried to see ALL of all the things]. I mean, I guess I could've hung around the food court to get some more photos of the frequent diners, but that seemed silly.

Anyway, this was kinda the idea [photo before most people showed up]:

I got a few other keeper photos--which I'll add to the secret "I'm too lazy to draw backgrounds but as long as no one else sees them no one will know I'm cheatingOOPS" file--but about the only other notable thing I saw was this atrocity:

Ignoring the hideousness of the actual product, I'm astonished that SPELLING IS SO DIFFICULT that whoever proofed these didn't look at both at the same time and think, "Wait, something's off." Or even just copied the first one and changed "YOUR" to "3D"! Ugh X( But... there's this unfortunate reality where all the kids who couldn't spell when they were in school grew up to be this generation's teachers... and it's not really surprising. Ghastly, but not surprising.

In the process of seeing ALL the things, I finally noticed a kind of tucked-away part of the mall that I hadn't seen before, where there was embedded in a wall a smallish plaque reading off [paraphrased]TYSONS CORNER CODE OF CONDUCT
  • Don't do anything to deliberately cause injury to others or other people's property.
  • Don't wear anything that would provoke or incite offense in others.
  • Don't run, rollerblade, skateboard, or otherwise speed.
  • Don't litter.
  • Don't do this.
  • Don't do that.
  • Don't smoke except in designated areas.
  • Don't photograph any persons or entities without their explicit permission.

The list was hella longer than that [at least twice as long!], but ZOMG at the last one! D= That's all the fuck I do in malls these days, what the hell! I guess it's good(?) I'm so great at my ninja photography, but it's irritating to officially know what I'm doing is RONG!!1.

Oh well. They gonna kick me out or something? |-p

I also bought a candy I'd never heard of before, 100% of the reason being its name:
