This is the "grass"iest icon I have, I think.
Well, I think at this point I can call it a bust, though my last question for the interview person was, "When can I expect a decision to be made?" [which she interrupted as I was asking, so maybe that was a clue]--answered with a definite, "My husband was unemployed and didn't hear back for one, two, three weeks... so I'm not making THAT mistake. Everyone's getting a call, whether or not they got the job."
But no. Unless my phone is being a dick, but somehow I don't think it is... THIS time.
Granted, there were problems out the gate. First, my Wednesday interview was deferred to Thursday [yesterday] due to a conference call she "had" to be on. Second, not even Mapquest could find the place* =p and *I* only did out of a vague suspicion that maybe the numbering was stupid [yup] and I was supposed to head in the opposite direction from what was stated [though I note also their mailbox is on the opposite side of the road, for double misdirection]. Third, my interview was delayed due to board members wrangling my interviewer for "ten minutes" [read: forty-five]...
...so it's POSSIBLE that this one person is being made completely unable to do her job competently, in which case I'm less eager to cry over not getting the position [if that is indeed the case]. I imagine, though, with her insistence that they wanted to hire quickly and not do second interviews and that, if they really wanted me on board, I wouldn't have been made a lowest priority.
*...curiously, Mapquest has changed its mind since Wednesday, and the incorrect left turn is now a right turn... >=' though that doesn't change the fact my GPS agreed with the faulty Mapquest directions and put me out at some field...
If Monday comes with a "Sorry, shit came up, you got the part" call, I guess it won't be a bad gig, but otherwise a week and a half more of tears, then I guess it'll be working for THE DAN ¬_¬
Comic is coming slowly--if no hanging out occurs this weekend, I *should* be able to finish it tomorrow, but there's honestly no reason I shouldn't have been able to finish it Wednesday, either |=/ Gah, I can't manage anything.
