3775: Creep
So hi!
Mostly as needless record, I overheard some gossip about why Boomer got the boot--according to Germy, he was "creepy" [???!? I totally didn't read this, but I also didn't work with him directly] and spent a lot of time doing nothing. Which seems odd from my perspective, but goes to show what I see from the corner cubicle.
And breathe, considering I feel like I'm covered in smoke just from the ONE person near me being a smoker [which she claimed to have given up except bumming one from others now and again]. I don't know if it's the circulation or what, 'cause I pretty much only smelled latent wisps now and again, but by the time I left EARLY, I felt as though I had walked through a pool hall.
This is going straight on my wants list for the reorganization.
Also also, my co-workers seem to be a little miffed at me because I'm not particularly planning to go to the big company dinner shindig next Friday evening at the Sequoia in DC. Well, for one thing, it's a Friday evening [I like my weekends]. For another, it seems to be company only [no mates]. For the last, it's "business elegant"--which means buying clothes [ugh] or wearing the ones I got out of duress and really don't like.
Unless "prep school" passes, but I didn't get that vibe. Try to talk me into it if you think I should go, though.
