AAGH, why do I use the web to post entries?! ...at least Firefox saves my drafts DX Ugh!

A subject I did not "bring to top" prior to now:
Some days ago, I noticed via Faceache that one of my friends responded to someone from my hometown [like, elementary]. The thread was a link to a diatribe on the ill effects of same-sex marriage on society: moral decay and the eventual extinction of humanity [PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF]. At first I thought, OH LAWLS WHUT IS THIS!!!, because the link was posted without particular comment.
Then I realized, on reading the comments, the link was not linked for the luls.
This made me realize, yet again, that just having met and known a person for a time does not mean truly KNOWING that person: Even Inception preaches that our ideas of who a person is can never match the actual person. [Related unattributable quote because I can't remember it exactly and am too lazy to scour for it when a paraphrase will do: "The most boring real person is infinitely more interesting than the most intricately-developed fictional character."] I am inclined to believe the people I know agree with me on at least the most major of things, like "Peace is good" and "Bullies suck" and "War is stupid", etc., but... clearly I was mistaken that cool people can't possibly be so purposelessly antagonistic.
[It's not that I am disinclined to believe this of the person in question--I'd never thought about it until the some days ago. It's simply a recognition of an artifact of my socially-regressive upbringing/naïvité, that I can't always see through a pleasant exterior to see the ugliness inside... granted, a good charmer can make that difficult to do, so I shouldn't be too hard on myself, but it's still kind of aggravating.]
Anyway, I mention all this because I got a Friend request from said person... =| At the moment, I'm experiencing a memory lapse trying to think of who this is, until I decide whether or not I remember after all. [The adult thing to do would be add and say hello, but my current policy is I already have too many people's updates to read, I won't add unless the person sends a hello message... so there's that, I guess.]
